Public Law Conference
Thursday 10th September 2026
We are thrilled to host this year’s Public Law conference at Cloth Hall Court, to include refreshments throughout the day and a 2-course lunch. This is a full-day event for legal professionals practising in Public Law, Court of Protection, Deprivation of Liberty, and Adult Social Care.
This is an excellent opportunity to network with legal professionals and stay updated on the latest developments across the spectrum of public law, including Court of Protection, Medical Treatment and the impact of ‘AGNI’.
Alongside talks from our specialist public law and court of protection barristers, we are excited to host two expert guest speakers:
-
His Honour Judge Simon Burrows is the Regional Lead Judge in the Court of Protection for the Northern Circuit, handling complex cases involving mental capacity, health and welfare, deprivations of liberty, and best interests decisions in England and Wales. HHJ Burrows will join us for our expert panel discussion on AGNI.
-
Ali Sea, Independent Adult Disability Social Worker | Sea Social Work
Ali Sea is an Independent Adult Disability Social Worker and founder of Sea Social Work. With almost 20 years’ experience, she specialises in Care Act, mental capacity, and best interests assessments, as well as independent social work reports for the Court of Protection and other legal proceedings.
