Philippa Pudney

2nd Six Pupil
Called: 2019

Philippa commenced a Public and Private Family Law pupillage in September 2019 under the supervision of Mark Watterson.

Prior to her pupillage, Philippa worked as a volunteer advocate for the Free Representation Unit alongside studying for the Bar. She worked closely with clients in the field of Employment Law, often negotiating advantageous settlements for her clients.

Philippa’s years of advocating for charities, including Brake, laid the foundations for a strong and persuasive speaker in particularly emotional fields. Pro-Bono work has added to this efficient and coherent legal research skills. Her interest in access to justice led to involvement within ELTAL (Employment Law Telephone Advice Line) and CAP (Criminal Appeals Project) as a client handler and researcher.

Alongside this, Philippa spends any free time watching Formula 1 (not Hamilton!) and Leeds Rhinos.
